Frank Goertner is the Director for Military / Veteran Affairs and National Security Programs at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, where he also leads the Initiative for Veteran Lifelong Leadership.

Frank’s passion is promoting military and veteran professionals as strategic assets for a new American economy. He pursues it by leading veteran career advancement and learning programs; coaching military personnel in transition; consulting enterprises on the future of education, employment and security; and conducting research on U.S. civil-military affairs.

A retired U.S. Navy Commander, Frank is a veteran Naval Aviator, Foreign Area Officer, Personnel Chief and Maritime Strategist. He is the founder and owner of Posterum Consulting LLC, serves on the National Leadership Council of FOURBLOCK, and is a Maryland State Leader for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. A proud native of the Old Line State, Frank is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy. He holds an MBA and MA in International Relations, both from the University of Maryland at College Park, alongside diplomas from the U.S. Naval War College and the Naval Postgraduate School.
